In short. Our readings and suggestions are offered for guidance and entertainment. What you do with them is always your own choice. We do not guarantee any result. Our content, features and these terms may change at any time without notice, and we accept no responsibility for any loss or profit that comes from using them.

Thank you for choosing Bhagya. For us, astrology and devotion are about light, hope and self-understanding, and we want your time with us to feel that way too. So that you always know what to expect, we've gathered a few important points in one place. We've kept them as simple and friendly as we can, so please take a moment to read them. By using our website, app, Assistant or products, you're telling us you're comfortable with them.

1. Where our astrology comes from

Vedic astrology, or Jyotish, is one of the oldest knowledge traditions in the world. Rishis, scholars and families have carried it forward for thousands of years, and everything we calculate for you comes from that inheritance. Planetary positions are computed with our own implementation of published astronomical theories: VSOP87D for the planets and ELP2000-82B for the Moon, checked against the reference ephemerides of NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory. Sidereal positions use the Lahiri ayanamsa, the standard used by India's Rashtriya Panchang. The rules that turn those positions into a chart, a Panchang or a compatibility score follow classical works such as the Brihat Parashara Hora Shastra.

We want to be clear and humble about our part in this. We haven't invented any of these methods, rules or meanings, and we don't claim them as our own discovery. We simply bring a long-standing tradition to your screen, carefully and in good faith.

Traditions differ, and so can results. Different schools of astrology, different ayanamsas and different panchang conventions can give slightly different answers, and a few minutes' difference in birth time can change a chart. If our result doesn't match one you've seen elsewhere, that is usually why. Our How we compute page explains our method in detail.

Astrology is a system of traditional knowledge and belief rather than an experimental science. We share it in that spirit: as the tradition describes it, not as scientific fact.

2. About our AI readings

To help you understand your chart in everyday language, some of our readings are written with the help of artificial intelligence. The AI is given the facts of your chart and asked to explain them warmly and clearly.

AI is a wonderful helper, but it isn't perfect. Now and then it may misread a detail, give something more weight than a traditional astrologer would, or phrase an idea in a way that doesn't quite fit you. Two readings of the same chart may also be worded differently. So please read AI readings as a friendly reflection on your chart, something to think about and enjoy, rather than an exact or final interpretation.

3. About your Bhagya Assistant

Your Bhagya Assistant is an AI companion that can chat with you about your chart, festivals, rituals and traditions at any hour. We've set it up to be kind, to stay grounded in your chart, and to stay away from medical, legal and financial advice.

Even so, the Assistant is a computer program. It isn't a person, and it isn't a qualified astrologer, doctor, lawyer or adviser. Its answers can sometimes be incomplete, out of date or simply wrong, and it may sound more confident than it should. Please double-check anything important. Never rely on the Assistant alone for decisions about your health, safety, money, relationships or legal position.

To answer you, your questions are processed by the AI service providers who help us run the Assistant.

4. Guidance, not decisions

Everything Bhagya offers is meant to help you reflect, feel prepared and stay connected to tradition. That includes readings, daily guidance, auspicious timings, compatibility scores, remedies and the Assistant's answers. They are suggestions, offered in good faith.

They aren't instructions, certain predictions, or professional advice, and they don't replace a doctor, psychologist, lawyer, financial or tax adviser, or any other qualified professional. Please don't start, stop or delay medical treatment on the strength of our content alone. The same goes for investment or legal decisions, and for choices about marriage, education or career. Tradition is a wonderful companion for important decisions, but it isn't meant to make them for you.

Our Guidance page explains how to read and use your readings.

5. Your choices are always yours

You are the author of your own life, and we deeply respect that. Whatever you decide to do, or not do, after reading our content, using our tools or buying our products is your own decision, made with your own judgement.

For that reason, and to the fullest extent the law allows, Bhagya, its team and its partners can't accept responsibility for any decision, action, loss or consequence, direct or indirect, that comes from relying on our readings, AI content, Assistant answers, suggestions or products. Our full terms, including the limits on our liability, are in our Terms of Service.

6. About our sacred cards and products

Our yantra cards and devotional products are made with care and respect for tradition. Their designs, symbols, mantras and associations come from ancient texts, long-standing custom and the way devotees generally understand and cherish these objects. Mahalaxmi's association with prosperity and Gayatri's with wisdom are two examples.

When you buy from us, you're buying a beautifully made devotional and decorative object. We don't claim, promise or guarantee that any product will bring a particular result, directly or indirectly. That includes wealth, health, success, protection and relationships. The meanings we describe are shared as traditional belief and general understanding. We don't hold scientific or other proof of them, and we don't offer any. What a sacred object means in your life is personal, shaped by your own faith and practice.

Our products are not medicines or medical devices. They are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any illness. Where we describe a product as consecrated or energised, we mean that a traditional Vedic puja is performed for every card before it is dispatched. That is a devotional practice, not a claim of any measurable effect.

Colours, sizes and finishes can vary slightly from the photographs because of screens, printing and hand finishing.

7. Remedies, rituals and festivals

Remedies, mantras, fasts, rituals and festival timings are shared as traditional belief and cultural practice. Please follow any practice only in a way that is safe and comfortable for you. Take special care with fasting or anything physical if you have a health condition or are pregnant, and when you are caring for a child or an elder. Where a remedy mentions a product, buying it is always optional. The tradition's guidance comes first.

8. Stories from our community

We love hearing from our community, and some of those stories appear on our site. Each is one person's own experience, in their own words. Everyone's journey is different, so these stories aren't a promise that you'll have the same experience.

9. If you're going through a hard time

If you're facing a health concern, emotional distress or a difficult situation, please reach out to a qualified professional or someone you trust. In India, Tele-MANAS offers free, confidential mental health support around the clock on 14416 or 1-800-891-4416. In an emergency, call 112. Astrology can be a comfort, and you deserve real, human support too.

10. The details you share with us

Your chart can only be as accurate as the birth date, time and place you give us, so please enter them as carefully as you can. If you add family members, please make sure they're happy for you to share their details with us.

Our blog, guides and glossary share traditional knowledge for learning and enjoyment. Customs and interpretations vary from region to region and family to family. We can't promise that every article reflects every tradition or is free from error. Mantras, aartis, names, stories and other traditional information on this site are written from common public sources, and they can contain mistakes. If you find one, tell us on our contact page and we'll correct it. Otherwise, the information is offered as it is. Links to other websites are shared for your convenience, and we aren't responsible for what those sites contain.

12. Who Bhagya is for

Our services are meant for adults aged 18 and over. Younger users are welcome with a parent or guardian.

13. Changes, and talking to us

We may update this page from time to time as Bhagya grows. The date at the top always shows the latest version. If anything here is unclear, or you'd simply like to talk, write to us at hello@bhagya.cards. We're always happy to help.

With gratitude, and best wishes for your journey,
Team Bhagya
