कथाThe tradition
Mangal, son of the Earth
In the Puranas, Mangal is the son of Bhumi Devi, the Earth. That is why he is called Bhauma and Bhumiputra, and why his bija mantra salutes him as Bhauma. Red as a glowing coal, he is Angaraka too, and Kuja, the one born of the earth.
Tuesday is his day: Mangalvar. In Varahamihira's Brihat Jataka, a classic of jyotish, each graha stands for a part of the person, and Mangal stands for sattva, courage. At the court of the grahas, with the Sun and the Moon on the throne, he leads the army.
In tradition he is associated with effort, land and discipline: the work of the hands, the field and the house built on it, the routine kept day after day. Families who look to Mangal in their kundali keep his day with a lamp at sunrise and a red flower.
This card carries his yantra, drawn from its traditional form, for your wallet, your desk or your puja ghar. Mangal on our navagraha page has his day and his bija mantra.
स्थानWhere it is kept
When and where families keep it
Families begin it on a Tuesday at sunrise, Mangal's day, and keep it in the puja ghar or carry it in a wallet or purse. It sits as well on a desk or a workbench. Tuesday is Shri Hanuman's day in many homes too, and the two cards can sit side by side in the puja ghar.
नामYour card
What your Mangal Yantra Card carries
- The yantra of Mangal Dev, drawn from its traditional form.
- Your name, in your script. Printed exactly as you type it, in Devanagari or in English, never transliterated.
- Depending on the design, a date of birth, a gotra, a short message and a photo.
- A QR that opens the card's own page, and a serial number on the back that starts with BC-.
You add these after payment, in the app or on the web, with a live preview. Nothing is printed until you press "Make my card"; then the details are final.
विधिHow to begin
Begin your Mangal yantra on a Tuesday
You do not need a pandit. On a Tuesday, ideally at sunrise:
- Unwrap it with intention, in a clean place, ideally your puja ghar. Pause for a breath first.
- Cleanse it with a soft cloth dipped in water and a pinch of haldi. It is symbolic: you prepare it for its place.
- Light a diya and offer a flower, a red one if you have it, with a few grains of rice.
- Chant Mangal's bija mantra 108 times, one mala, with the card in your right hand. It is printed on the activation card.
- Set your sankalpa, your intention in one sentence, with the card held to your forehead: "To keep my Tuesday puja for forty days."
- Place it where it lives: the puja ghar, a wallet, a purse or the desk. Not the bathroom or the bedroom floor.
- Return to it each morning for one breath. There is nothing to renew. The practice is your attention.
The longer practice. For the planetary cards, tradition adds a longer practice: the bija mantra 108 times a day for at least 40 days, then 27 times a day.
Mangal's bija mantra, as our navagraha page has it.
In the envelope
- The card, with your name as you typed it.
- The activation card, with Mangal's bija mantra and the seven steps.
- A gift-ready envelope, so it can be handed over as it arrives.
If it arrives damaged or wrongly printed, write to us within 7 days of delivery with the order number and a photo, and we will replace it at our cost.

Giving it as a gift
If someone in your family looks to Mangal in their kundali, the card can be made in their name. Pay now and add their name after payment, in the script they write it in. Add their mobile number too, and the card waits in their wallet in the Bhagya Card app. The printed card reaches them in its gift-ready envelope, with the activation card, so they can begin it themselves on a Tuesday.
प्रश्नQuestions
Questions about the Mangal Yantra Card
Is this card for Mangal dosha?
In jyotish, Mangal's place in a kundali is read at match-making, and you may have heard it called Mangal dosha. We do not offer this card as a remedy for it. Families who look to Mangal keep his yantra as part of their Tuesday puja; for a question about a match, speak with your family's jyotishi.
Which day should I begin it?
A Tuesday, Mangal's day, ideally at sunrise. If you keep the longer practice, chant his bija mantra 108 times a day for at least 40 days, then 27 times a day.
Can I keep it with a Hanuman yantra?
Yes. Each card carries its own yantra and its own mantra, so begin each with its own seven steps. Tuesday belongs to Mangal in jyotish and to Shri Hanuman in many homes.
