कथाThe tradition
Maa Bhuvaneshwari, sovereign of all the worlds
Her name holds her story. Bhuvana is the world, every world there is, and Ishvari is the one who rules it. Maa Bhuvaneshwari is the fourth of the ten Mahavidyas, the great forms of the Devi, and in tradition every world has its place within her.
The Devi Bhagavata Purana describes her home: Manidvipa, the island of jewels beyond all the worlds, where the Devi reigns as Bhuvaneshwari. In its telling, Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva are carried there to see her, and within her they see every world, and their own work of making, keeping and dissolving it.
She is pictured in the colour of the rising sun, with three eyes and a crescent moon in her crown. Two of her hands hold the noose and the goad; the other two are raised to bless and to reassure.
A home is a small world of its own. In tradition, a family setting up a new one keeps her yantra in the puja ghar from the first day, for a settled household. The yantra is drawn from its traditional form: a point at the centre, the seat of the Devi, and the lines and petals that open around it.
स्थानWhere it is kept
When and where families keep the Bhuvaneshwari yantra
Most families begin it at the griha pravesh, the first puja in a new home, or on the first morning after moving in. In Maharashtra the new home's vastu shanti is another such day.
- In the new home's puja ghar, from its first day. In tradition the yantra faces north.
- In the northeast (Ishan) corner, the traditional place for the deities, if the puja ghar is elsewhere.
- In a wallet or purse, if you would rather carry it.
Keep it off the floor, and out of the bathroom and the bedroom.
नामYour card
What your Bhuvaneshwari card carries
- The Bhuvaneshwari yantra, with Maa Bhuvaneshwari, drawn from its traditional form.
- The name, in the script you write it in. Devanagari or English, printed exactly as you type it, never transliterated.
- Depending on the design, a date of birth, a gotra, a short message or a photo.
- The card's own QR. It opens the card's page, showing the card as it was issued and its status today.
- A serial number on the back, beginning with BC-.
You add the details after payment, in the Bhagya Card app or on the web, with a live preview. Nothing is printed until you press "Make my card"; after that, the details are final.
विधिHow to begin
Begin it in your new home, in about thirty minutes
You do not need a pandit. Choose a morning when you can give it thirty unhurried minutes, ideally at sunrise.
- Unwrap it with intention, in your puja ghar or at a desk facing east.
- Cleanse it with a soft cloth dipped in water and a pinch of haldi.
- Light a diya and offer a flower: a small ghee lamp, a marigold or a rose, a few grains of rice.
- Chant the bija mantra 108 times, one mala, with the card in your right hand.
- Set your sankalpa, your intention in one sentence, holding the card to your forehead.
- Place it where it lives: the puja ghar, facing north, or the northeast corner.
- Return to it each morning for one breath. There is nothing to renew; the practice is your attention.
The bija mantra is printed on the activation card in your envelope.
In the envelope
- Your Bhuvaneshwari Yantra Card, with the name you added.
- An activation card with its bija mantra and the seven steps.
- A gift-ready envelope that holds them both.
It leaves Pune within 1–2 business days by tracked courier, with tracking by SMS and email.

प्रश्नQuestions
Questions about the Bhuvaneshwari Yantra Card
Can I give it as a griha pravesh gift?
Yes. Pay now and add the name after payment, with their mobile number so that the card waits in their wallet in the app. For a griha pravesh in a metro city, order about a week ahead; allow longer for remote areas and abroad.
Where in the new home should it go?
In the puja ghar, facing north as tradition has it, or in the northeast (Ishan) corner. Not in the bathroom, and not on the bedroom floor.
We moved in months ago. Can we still begin it?
Yes. The first day is the traditional one, but any morning you can give it thirty unhurried minutes, ideally at sunrise, is a fine beginning.
Is the card consecrated?
Yes. Before it is dispatched, Vedic pandits we work with directly in Pune perform the puja of Maa Bhuvaneshwari for your card.
Is the card a promise of a settled home?
No. In tradition, families keep her yantra in the new puja ghar for a settled household. It is offered with love, not as a promise of a specific result.
